I finished Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and I have to say that the game is a better experience and fun than the last Indiana Jones movies. If you like this adventurous archaeologist, the game is the right choice. ๐ค
I got to the next series of Only Murders in the Building. I love Selena Gomez and those old guys. It's so sweet in today's flood of madness. Kind of like Ted Lasso, even if it's about murder. ๐
@oldyzach The 3D environment and 2D billboard sprites are still closer to Doom graphics than 3D games as we know them today. That's true retro to me. ๐ฅฐ๐
@emrankhandev Exactly, and in practice, after years, you suddenly see that the problem that GraphQL solves, overfetching, doesn't occur as much in the applications you make, so get rid of it. ๐
I will be switching from GraphQL API back to REST but with a combination of OpenAPI. Classic REST is easier to work with and OpenAPI handles type binding with the frontend, so that suits me best. ๐ค
When you listen to 80s music, you know exactly where the early 90s video game music came from. This sounds like something from an Amiga game. ๐ฅฐ๐ต๐ถ https://t.co/wwrsHKYEXg
Nowadays, when learning programming, there are an incredible number of distractions, social media, AI, and so on. I'm actually quite glad that I built my foundations back when I was learning from books and the internet wasn't nearly as widespread as it is today. ๐ค
I've delved deeper into 80s music, listening to entire albums, and I'm quite shocked at how the music is a complete chaos, experimental, influenced by punk, new wave, avant-garde, and out of it all comes that one uniform pop song that's played on the radio to this day. ๐
@The_Top_Loader To me, it's even more impressive than it was back then. That retro aesthetic of the 80s is exactly what's in fashion again these days. ๐ฅฐ
Developer tools for developers are the least intuitive applications in the world. Once you assume that people understand it or learn it, any UX goes by the wayside. And that's not good. Developer tools should have good UX too. ๐ค
Today I was listening to music from the 80s. I was reminded of how much mediocre, ordinary music was released back then, and the hits we know today as immortal are just the tip of the iceberg. Retrospection is always a bit of a compression of reality. ๐ค
