@tridactyls My guess is the magatama were functional beyond being used for jewelry, and that function is what connects them to fertility. Some of the oldest ones - made from talc and serpentine - were as big as your hand.
@andreas_nigbur Maybe it was for both fetching water ⚡️and vibration.....maybe the vibration attracted what was used to treat the water. "Step wells" seem much too complicated to be made to acquire regular water.

They were all ⚡️ Pyramids..!!! @CassieCMartin has done a great job of laying it all out, and IMO, stops just short of saying they were making Plasma-Activated Water in Cambodia... Metallurgical coal companies are investing billions to build new Plasma Water treatment plants to eliminate selenium contamination caused by open-pit mining...
