Investigators just asked me to move to a different corner, with @wakesheriff deputies telling me “we found some stuff” near the area where I was filming.

Shooting confirmed, and officers are checking on a person with a gunshot wound at a nearby hospital. @WNCN

More than 100 members of Durham Congregations, Associations, & Neighborhoods are outside the old @DurhamPoliceNC headquarters, advocating for affordable housing. Proposals for developing the site are due tomorrow. At least 80 affordable housing units will be built on site. @WNCN

Wilbert “Pip” Pipkin, who spent 36 years in prison, is speaking about his difficulties finding affordable housing after finally getting clean from decades of drug abuse. Pip told me the only way he used to afford to pay rent was “hustling” and committing crimes. More on @WNCN

Prosecutors say murder suspect Daniel Mohar knocked Edward Tivnan to the ground after Tivnan made a drunken remark to Mohar’s girlfriend. Tivnan died from a head injury after hitting the patio pavement. Mohar has previous assault arrests with 1 conviction.

Daniel Mohar, charged with the June 7 murder of 50-year-old Edward Tivnan, is due in Durham court this morning.

They got in a fight at Social Games and Brews on West Main Street on June 5. Tivnan fell and struck his head on the pavement. @WNCN

Due to some sort of disagreement, attorneys and the judge are going to return tomorrow to set bond then. The judge wants to consult Tivnan’s family further.
