Wilbert “Pip” Pipkin, who spent 36 years in prison, is speaking about his difficulties finding affordable housing after finally getting clean from decades of drug abuse. Pip told me the only way he used to afford to pay rent was “hustling” and committing crimes. More on @WNCN

Prosecutors say murder suspect Daniel Mohar knocked Edward Tivnan to the ground after Tivnan made a drunken remark to Mohar’s girlfriend. Tivnan died from a head injury after hitting the patio pavement. Mohar has previous assault arrests with 1 conviction.
