@RLitwiller Good picture, Roger. As you noted ONTARIO was the second, the first being HMCS UGANDA (later QUEBEC), the ship that voted herself out of the war.
#OTD in 1945, HMCS ESQUIMALT was torpedoed and sunk by German sub U-190. Thirty-nine were lost, and the remaining survivors were picked up by HMCS SARNIA. This pennant was signed by all the crew members only nine months before the ship was lost. (photo: ship company , March 1945)
