Just returned from our summer road trip. We covered 20,004 kms in 30.5 days! Spent most of the time in Yukon, Northwest Territories, Alaska, BC, and Alberta. Over 20 days off of the Supercharging network. Plugshare made planning easy, but I hope I never need it again!! Lots of new V4 sites almost ready to roll in Alaska. Did the entire Alaska Highway, Dempster Highway, Top of the World Highway, etc.. Starlink worked flawlessly everywhere except underwater in the Montreal tunnel. I'll try to put together a proper thread over the next few days. Have so many awesome photos it is hard to navigate them all.
I have been dreaming of this car since I was young. I had a yellow Lamborghini Countach poster in my room since I was 5. Couldn't ask for a better meld of looks and technology. I don't even mind the white (even though I hate white). I really didn't want to like it this much, now I feel pressured to reserve one....
@TesLatino@cybertruck Awesome I requested that several times!! Great to see them continually improve the truck. Now if we could just get fender flares that keep the wheel spray off the side windows ๐.
My son and I are sitting in the ER alive tonight thanks to my Tesla and God's grace.
On our way home from @theXtakeover we were on the freeway when a wrong way driver hit us head on at freeway speeds.
I remember parts of the accident. Seeing the trucks headlight, my airbag deploying, and the emergency response calling the car.
I escaped through the passenger door to grab my son. All the while other cars were crashing around us.
I am still really shaken but realize that the safety features of my Tesla saved our lives. DPS and firefighters were shocked that we walked away.
This is a true testimonial to how safe these freaken Teslas are. Thank you @Tesla, @elonmusk, the Tesla Engineering Team, and my almighty God.
Be safe out there everyone. You never know when something like this can happen. God speed.
@TesCalendar1 I realized I would never drive a VW again after getting my first Tesla in 2019. I scrapped my first car that I bought at 18, a 2000 Golf TDI that I had planned to restore. It survived 500,000 hard kms and then sat in a shed for years. No interest in driving it again.
@ericdmann@cybertruck@Starlink Have you tried making one that matches the angle of the tonneau cover and offset enough to be flush or even slightly inset from the bedside?
