A Tale of Two Cities // When I went to document the ICE protests in DTLA, I asked my sister to document what other parts of LA looked like at the same time. All of these clips you see are from June 8th, 2025. I included a farmers market I walked by just a few blocks from the protest and an ice cream truck in another part of DTLA to emphasize the point. The media wants to tell you that all of Los Angeles is a war zone. That’s just not true. Don’t fall for it. This protest started from a place of protection. We love our neighbors. We love Los Angeles.

The protests have 99.9% been peaceful exercise of constitutional rights.

Much media coverage makes it look like a war-like, siege existence in LA. That is NOT THE CASE AT ALL!
