Un été difficile en Ukraine 🇺🇦, en cause, des décisions politiques contestables.

Après un printemps bien géré par Kyiv (aide financière de l'UE, bonne situation au front, frappes réussies à l'arrière), l'été a vu un nombre de mauvaises nouvelles pour l'Ukraine.

🔸La décision politique de lancer des frappes contre les entrepôts russes de Wildberries et contre les navires commerciaux en Mer Noire s'est retournée contre l'Ukraine. En pleine période de récolte, les ports de la Mer Noire sont complètement coupés, bombardés constamment, tandis que les entrepôts et supermarchés sont systématiquement frappés, paralysant une partie de l'économie et de la logistique civile ukrainienne. Soyons clair, la Russie n'a pas attendu la campagne ukrainienne pour frapper les infrastructures portuaires et commerciales ukrainiennes, mais en réaction à celle-ci, elle mène une campagne de destruction complète de ces infrastructures, chose à laquelle Kyiv n'était pas préparé.

🔸Fruit du hasard, l'arrivée massive de nouveaux vecteurs en profondeur pour l'armée russe (Geran-4, Banderol, munitions d'Iskander et de S400) coïncide avec la pénurie d'intercepteurs côté ukrainien, permettant des frappes quasi quotidiennes sur la capitale Kyiv, mettant à mal les industries de défense et l'économie civile. N'oublions pas les décisions largement questionnables d'entreposer de nombreuses munitions (dont des missiles anti-aériens) dans deux entrepôts frappés cet été au nord et à l'ouest de Kyiv. N'oublions pas ensuite la frappe sur un salon militaire (qui était public et annoncé) qui a tué de nombreux experts/industriels d'entreprises de drones ukrainiennes (largement plus que le bilan officiel).

🔸Sur le plan politique, Zelensky enchaine les erreurs, avec le limogeage soudain de Fedorov (qui s'est lui-même complètement grillé et ridiculisé en demandant une élection et en acceptant un travail à l'étranger alors qu'il avait le soutien populaire), les affaires de corruption autour de Budanov et le refus du président de parler à la presse ukrainienne, alors qu'il répond régulièrement aux interviews de médias étrangers. Seule lueur d'espoir, la nomination de Mykhailo Drapaty au poste de CEMA, qui commence tout juste son travail avec la difficile mission de stabiliser la situation dans le Donbas en cette fin d'été.

🔸Sur le plan militaire, la situation s'est fortement dégradée dans le Donbas en août, bien qu'il est trop tôt pour parler d'une reprise de l'offensive russe au même niveau qu'en 2024 ou 2025. La situation dans le sud s'est améliorée et l'armée ukrainienne poursuit ses frappes de drones.

En 4 ans d'observation du conflit, j'ai souvent observé les changements de stratégie d'un camp ou d'un autre et les périodes de difficultés ukrainiennes. L'hiver prochain risque d'être très compliqué pour l'arrière (moins que pour le front, puisque l'hiver permet de mieux contenir les infiltrations russes), il faut s'attendre à l'afflux possible de centaines de milliers d'ukrainiens vers la Pologne et l'UE, au vu du risque de pénurie généralisée d'électricité et de chauffage.

Côté russe, brièvement, il faudra surveiller l'Etat de l'économie qui souffre particulièrement et l'évolution de la situation des raffineries, qui provoque des pénuries de carburant dans une partie du pays…

Russian terror continues: apartment buildings, a Nova Poshta terminal and civilian facilities targeted.

Every single day, Russian attacks bring Ukrainians pain and grief.

▪️ Russian forces launched an FPV drone at an apartment building in Zaporizhzhia, injuring two people, including a teenager. In the region, Russian forces also struck a fire and rescue unit. A fire engine and a passenger car were also damaged.

▪️ Warehouses caught fire in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi district. It was the fifth air raid alert in the capital since midnight, triggered by an attack involving Russian jet-powered drones.

▪️ A large fire broke out at warehouse facilities in Boryspil, Kyiv region, sending thick black smoke across the area.

▪️ A Nova Poshta truck was attacked with a Molniya drone in Kharkiv region. The vehicle caught fire, and the driver was injured.

▪️ Russian forces carried out an airstrike on central Sloviansk in Donetsk region early in the morning. An entrance to a five-story apartment building was destroyed, while at least 32 apartment buildings, a hotel, a kindergarten, and vehicles were damaged. Four people were injured.

An apartment building in Kramatorsk was also struck.

▪️ Russian forces struck a Nova Poshta terminal in Odesa region, sparking a fire that has since been extinguished.

🔥 Zelenskyy: Ukraine struck russian drone storage, preparation and launch sites overnight.

Targets in the Oryol and Rostov regions were hit, as well as the Yeysk military airfield and a refinery in the Leningrad region.

❗️Ukraine’s Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara said the country already has four potential interceptors against Russian jet-powered Shahed-type drones. All of them have undergone field trials. The main task now is to quickly bring these solutions to the required standard and launch mass production of thousands of units, as the number of jet drones in Russian strikes continues to grow. One of the already known solutions is the jet interceptor Alexa Spatium. The existence of four field-tested systems at once shows that Ukraine is forming a distinct class of air-defense assets specifically against high-speed targets.

⚡️🇺🇦 Ukrainian forces have advanced northeast of Stepove on the Zaporizhzhia axis, improving their tactical position in the sector.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine pushed forward northeast of Stepove, gaining additional ground as fighting continues across the wider Zaporizhzhia direction.

The advance adds further pressure on Russian positions in southern Ukraine and gives Kyiv more room to improve local defensive and offensive options along a strategically important stretch of the front.
