@SachinP67735417 I thought the TedTalk was so useful in teaching how to efficiently create a visual presentation. It helped me realize many mistakes that I previously committed when creating presentations. Using the tips in the video will help ensure the audience remembers your message. #RHUB290
@Matthew_0187 Hello Matt, I enjoyed learning about absolute and qualified writing as well. One must learn to adapt their style of writing to the situation they are in. Some situations call for more absolute writing while others call for more qualified writing. #RHUB290
I really enjoyed the discussion we had in class about the 5 Cannons of Rhetoric which are invention, arrangement, style, memory, and delivery. Keeping each of these components in mind will help create an efficient report that improves the memory of the audience. #RHUB290
PowerPoints are often inefficient in providing info that is easily remembered by an audience. Doing simple things like keeping 1 idea per slide, using more images than words, and using smaller headlines are all ways to ensure your message is efficiently presented. #RHUB290
@YSyamansoori One of the first things one must figure out is what type of report they will use. Some reports will only use one style while others will use many. My group and I have decided that most of our report will be informative, while the end will be more of a recommendation. #RHUB290
@AlexReeseRWS290 I totally agree with your point! Being able to take out any fluff is so important when writing a business report. As profesional writers, we must deliver information that is not common knowledge so we don’t sound repetitive and redundant to our audience. Great post! #RHUB290
Todays class touched on the three types of business reports; analytical, informative, and recommendation/proposal reports. I learned that the primary goal of a business report is to inform, identify key facts, analyze a problem, and provide recommendations or proposals. #RHUB290
The readings and sample articles introduced so much about writing business reports. One thing that stuck out is that as professional writers we must find a way to deliver our message in a way that fits our audience, however, does not come across as subjective or bias. #RHUB290

@adamlev2202 Making sure no one is offended by your message is crucial when forming an ad or website. Truly understanding your audience takes a lot of time and effort, however, it is essential to the writing process. One small mistake can ruin a whole business and it’s image. #RHUB290

One thing that stuck out to me from Derek Thomason’s article is that too much familiarity can cause an audience to feel like they are constantly being exposed to the same ideas. There must be a balance between surprising your audience and being familiar. #RHUB290
I really enjoyed todays class as it emphasized that creating a website is essential for a companies growth, branding, and credibility. Using different on-site and off-site SEO’s is a strong technique when developing a website, something I previously wasn’t familiar with. #RHUB290
@dogasn11 I agree, a mediocre website can actually do a company harm in so many different ways. A poorly designed and maintained website will not only drive consumers away from your company, but it will also have a negative effect on the companies professional image. Great post! #RHUB290
