Would love to do this in my house, with books banned in the U.S. in the 21st century.
Just some of them, of course, I do not live in a palace, and my house is not as tall as a reflecting pool is long.
@Acyn If that were the case why would Iran fire those missiles today into Israel and why would retaliation of appropriate scale be such a terrible idea?
Good god this is a crazy interview. Listen as Scott Pelley describes how Bari Weiss wanted journalists at CBS to cover the killing of Renee Good in Minnesota. This is why we can’t have oligarchs running our news outlets, this is absolutely devastating.
@Acyn Trump: "Because it was raining I got a little bit angry with them (NBC interviewer)."
Well that's very comforting coming from the President of the United States, isn't it?
⛔️⛔️The Albanian people refuse to abandon the streets and return to their homes‼️
🔺Thousands of Albanians remain in the streets to protest against what they consider the appropriation of national lands by Jared Kushner and his wife, whom they link to Israeli interests‼️
BREAKING: The former Republican Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Mike McCaul, just blasted Donald Trump’s nominee, Bill Pulte, for Director of National Intelligence as entirely unqualified. This is big.
🚨🇺🇸#BREAKING | NEWS ⚠️

The good news no one was hurt in the accident and explosions. The guy heard a couple large explosions and stepped to see what was going on and then began filming..
But the Billionaires 🤦♀️
Does Graham Platner appear to be 100% disabled? He doesn't even refer to any PTSD mental reasons for leaving Afghanistan.
Platner, who before becoming an oyster farmer worked as a State Department contractor in Afghanistan for Constellis, formerly known as Blackwater, bills himself as "working class."
Graham Platner’s takeover of an existing oyster business was actually funded by a $20,000 grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, a Greek billionaire’s nonprofit, and by his mother, Leslie Harlow, a local businesswoman who owns two restaurants and a gift shop in the area.
Anyway, the New York Times, which originally promoted Platner’s ‘oysterman’ routine shows the farming thing is fake.
His mother, he has said, concocted a plan to bring him back to Maine with the help of a family friend who owned an oyster farm that he pursued as a hobby. The farm, Mr. Platner told News Center Maine, “fell into my lap.”
Mr. Platner’s farm is unmarked by any visible sign… Before his Senate campaign, he offered eco-tourism tours of his plot. He shucked at private parties and sold his oysters at a local deli, where a sandwich is named for him. He has also been an aquaculture activist, taking local politicians on his boat to promote the industry.
After Mr. Platner took over the farm, his mother installed a raw bar at her restaurant to serve his oysters; Mr. Platner would entertain customers as he shucked. His shellfish shipping certificates filed with the state’s Department of Marine Resources show a shuttered smokehouse business owned by his mother as his business address, and the only significant compensation he reported from his business on his campaign financial disclosure form comes from his mother’s restaurant.
So much for the ‘oysterman’ thing.
His money, as previously reported, comes from a somewhat suspect disability.
Mr. Platner’s livelihood appears to largely depend on government benefits.
His 100 percent disability rating from the V.A. provides him with approximately $4,800 a month in tax-free benefits. His disability status was awarded for physical injuries sustained in combat along with post-traumatic stress disorder and hearing loss, “a couple herniated discs,” injuries to his shoulders and knees
Any time you hear PTSD and depression, red flags go up.
In Reddit posts from 2021, where he coached other veterans on how to maximize their benefits, Mr. Platner said he also had a traumatic brain injury along with anxiety and depression linked to his PTSD, which he says he began receiving treatment for in 2017.
His rating does not mean he cannot work, Mr. Platner says, nor will it affect his fitness to serve as a senator.
When you have 100% disability, but it doesn’t affect your fitness to work, but does net you a very nice income, that’s not working class.
That’s welfare class.
