@sophieusexua I’m curious why we didn’t get fresh artwork for Love Sensation, instead getting the album cover with no text, and I Feel So Free had the album cover with text. OCD is activated!
@pittworldwide 100% — feels like it fuses ‘Bedtime Stories’ and ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’. I can feel the Madonna DNA all over it. The other two bring the fun too, but they don’t make me transcend the way I Feel So Free does.
7 years ago, “Real Good Fight” became my first step into electronic pop, my first music video, and the beginning of my collaboration with Jordan Arteaga.
Today, we’re back in the studio working on new music together.
Some journeys start in unexpected places.
3 Years of “Summer Is Waiting” ☀️
The first single from ‘Swimming Against The Tide’, written as a message of hope during difficult times.
#5 on the LGBTQ Music Chart, 17,582 Spotify streams and 16,181 video views later, it’s still one of my favourites.
4 Years of “The Last Time” ✨
My hi-NRG cover of the Agnetha Fältskog classic, produced by Gareth Shortland and released ahead of ‘Severance’.
#2 on the LGBTQ Music Chart, nearly 20K Spotify streams, and still finding new listeners through the Sakgra Remix. 🎧
@ucancaIImeM I definitely prefer “I Feel So Free” sonically. “Bring Your Love” feels much more bubblegum than I expected, I like that it feels cut from the same cloth as the likes of “Deeper & Deeper”, but the vocal production is a little too close to ‘Madame X’ levels for my personal taste.
@LouiseRedknapp@LewisShawDesign Absolute justice that Confessions will get a live outing — a fantastic pop record and your live vocals are going to remind a lot of people of your capabilities.
@MinogueCentral@kylieminogue I’m shocked at how nasal she sounds on this, I know this is something we often hear live from her, but usually it’s not present on studio recordings — what happened?😱
@drownedblond It’ll be difficult, when she has returned to former producers in the past (Mirwais on Madame X, William Orbit on MDNA), the results haven’t matched the originals, and COADF is a masterpiece, but I think if both M and Stuart were dialled-in we may get her best work in 20 years.
2 Years of “Everything You Wanted” ✨
Inspired by the sophistipop sounds of Johnny Hates Jazz and Hall & Oates, the track went on to reach #5 on the LGBTQ Music Chart, surpass 91K Spotify streams and 32K video views.
Still one of my personal favourites. 🎧
Came as a star.
Leaves as legend.
Thank you, Robert Lewandowski, for every goal, every battle, and every magic moment wearing these colours. Culer forever. 💙❤️
@Brendon_B3cker Why did she allow any of that to happen? Makes me question her / management’s judgement? The Weeknd was a respectable choice of course, but the Sam Smith collab with was an atrocious choice. “I Feel So Free” gives me hope she’s back on course.
@Tool_lover101 @joshuakonichiwa You’ve got to be kidding me. The fact that this is still a relatively niche record is a testament to Jessie’s music being too sophisticated for much of the general public’s taste.
18 Years of ‘Distance’ 💿
My debut album — recorded while I was still at college, self-funded, and later picked up by Universal Music Operations.
The beginning of everything that followed.
🎧 Revisit ‘Distance’ at the link in bio.
2 Years of “Mysterious Times” 💫
My cover of the 1999 classic — recorded during ‘Swimming Against The Tide’ sessions.
#5 on the LGBTQ Music Chart, 38K+ video views, and later expanded with a deluxe edition.
🎧 Revisit all versions
Watched the S3 E1 of The Comeback and 6 minutes in I couldn’t believe how much I’d missed cringing at the chaotic, contrived Valerie Cherish. I said it 20 years ago, and I’ll say it again now: this show is Lisa Kudrow’s masterpiece, and a true cult classic.
