Hello all you wonderful people! Here's my humble take on GTA VI:
It can be a colossal success or flop and it's up to them.
If they want to charge $80-$100 for what was ~$50-$70 the last game...don't buy it. Y'all waited this long. You can wait for them to come to their senses. If you buy it for that much, you're saying you're fine with that being the new standard. And more and more games will come out at that price because you made it ok.
Buying GTA VI is consenting to what they're pushing. They're screwing PC gamers out of the game at launch anyway so I'm fine with waiting. I'm so fine, in fact, that I might just play GTA V for the first time ever soon. Vote with your dollars friends. If you think this is a shady cash grab, prove it. Let them see their numbers not get close to projections. If they're being greedy, prove it to them.
Personally I'm not interested in paying that much for the 6th installment of the same stuff they've done for 20 something years. I'll wait a few years and catch it on sale in a bundle. I'm not interested in this being the new normal. Make your choice.
