They refuse to understand that we have a hormonal cycle too, especially on injections..
and some trans women can experience cramps, because a lot of trans people have other intersex conditions
Transphobes just pretend we’re saying that we magically get a uterus
Despite all the negativity calling me mentally ill, that I'm broken and need 'fixing', this documentary is still happening and is a constant reminder of WHY this documentary needs to be out there.
To show people that we aren't broken and that we are who we are. Maybe it'll help educate them too.
Equality is not about centring one groups needs over another. It’s about giving equal dignity and respect to all parties. Sadly, Gender Critics are all me me me, like a spoilt child crying because there is only one scoop of ice cream each and wants to deny the other kids.
Oh no, she didn’t lol…. did J. K. Rowling just compare her movement to the Nazis movement? She thinks she’s right but she’s just right wing! Listen to them when Terfs tell you who they are…
They're going after intersex now. No reason given.
A man with male chromosomes is fired for not conforming to ignorant expectations.
An intersex teacher is suing a Florida school district after he was fired for being transgender. In a filing submitted to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Shepard Scalf provides details that he was let go from his teaching position due to an inconsistency between his male identity and female sex assigned at birth.
Scalf, who was teaching at Patriot Oaks Academy in the St Johns County School District, submitted paperwork as part of the hiring process that detailed that he had been assigned female at birth. He has an intersex variation with XY chromosomes and presents and lives as a man.
Despite good relationships with other members of staff as well as his students, he was called into an emergency meeting with the school principal after three weeks. In this meeting, Scalf was informed that while his performance was “nothing less than exemplary”, the principal had been informed that he must either resign or be fired. No reason for this decision was provided.
When Scalf had left the position, he received communications that showed he was let go following complaints about his gender identity, despite his gender and intersex status never being discussed in his classroom.
Scalf’s filing to the EEOC states that he was fired on the basis of his sex and the assumption that he is transgender.
Shana Knizhnik, Senior Staff Attorney with the ACLU’s LGBTQ and HIV Project, said of the case, “Mr Scalf was an exemplary teacher, but despite his performance and qualifications, he was forced out of his job because he did not fit those expectations. As politicians and institutions increasingly seek to police sex and gender, intersex people are too often caught in the crossfire alongside transgender people.”
Hot take: intersex people AND transgender people are BOTH VALID and they should not be fired based on their sex assigned at birth, full stop.
'AROACE: This is Who I Am' - documentary tralier
While it's still in pre-production and I'm organising at all, I hope this trailer can serve as a brief insight into what this documentary will be about.
Hopefully I'll have more information about this in the coming months.
@Sarahleigh65@DaizyZeeX Well, except trans women are not -- & never were -- men, not since about the 3d trimester of gestation.
Your deluded ideology claiming otherwise is, well, nothing but a deluded ideology. Too bad. Enjoy your self-inflicted butthurt!
@harjax215@DarrenAdams1967@DaizyZeeX@JaneCaro Maybe you should do 5 minutes of research into uterine transplants before you reveal yourself to be a deluded ideologue again.
Science says trans women will be able to carry pregnancies to term successfully (same as c¡s women have) with transplanted uteruses within the decade.
A trans woman may not know what it’s like to menstruate or carry a pregnancy...
but she knows what it’s like to leave the house
and wonder if she’ll make it back alive.
That, too, is part of being a woman.
@Irishgirlbragh_@KirstenFleetwo1 Nor does it need to be "corrected."
I am SO glad I was able to acknowledge my asexuality -- still fervently lesromantic, however -- the moment I stopped performing "man" with its, in my case, heterosexual baggage. Whew!
Am I nervous about backlash from addressing JK Rowling's comments and the harm it can cause, in my documentary? Yes, but if it means raising awareness of what asexuality, aromantic and aroace are, how her comments are harmful, and possibly educating a few people, it's worth it.
With a big platform comes a lot of responsibility, and educating yourself, taking accountability and apologising is so important.
my 2 year anniversary on HRT is very soon and i've been reflecting a lot lately.
In my journal around 2 years ago I wrote : "today is my 1st day on HRT! I really hope in the future I can grow my hair out and pull off some cute outfits!"
and here I am! with longer hair and wearing cute fits every day ^_^ this is has been one of the greatest decisions in my life, I wake up every happy I get to be the person I truly want to be ! I have 0 regrets and im very excited for my future !
The far right keeps telling you your “enemy” is your neighbor: Black people, brown people, trans people, Muslims, immigrants, any minority community they can demonize. That’s not an accident.
It’s a strategy.
Because if you ever look up instead of sideways, you’ll see exactly what Kyle Kulinski is talking about: the actual bad guys are the billionaires, the Epstein class, the warmongers and the fascists who bankroll them. The people hoarding obscene wealth, buying our politicians, gutting our communities, and sending working-class kids to fight their endless wars while paying no real price themselves.
They need you to blame the family down the block instead of the CEO who just closed the plant.
They need you to hate the trans kid at school instead of the landlord jacking your rent.
They need you furious at a refugee instead of the billionaire who ships your job overseas and parks his money in a tax haven.
The problem was never Black people. Never brown people. Never trans people. Never Muslims. Never any marginalized group just trying to live.
The problem has always been a tiny class of corrupt, criminal billionaires and the fascist movements they fund to keep us divided, exhausted, and too scared to fight back. Via~TRM
