@WillieETCarver @L_D_Washington True, as a young teacher I was denied points because open blinds MAY have caused a glare on the board. She agreed no glare but might have been. As an administrator now, I ALWAYS search for the good. NO good comes from taking a time when they are most vulnerable to rip them!

We often learn the most from mistakes. This is why assessment used in a formative way—to inform next steps in teaching and learning—is so powerful. If we assess kids, but then don’t allow them to revise and try again, then we wasted the power & benefit of the mistakes. #atplc
