I think I'm starting to see why Bittensor $TAO will follow Reed's Law and become a trillion dollar asset.

Quick recap of Reed's Law: this law says that the value of a network grows exponentially with the number of user groups or sub-networks, and applied to Bittensor, it means that its 128 subnets exponentially amplify the network’s total value - basically a network effect of network effects.

Bitcoin $BTC follows Metcalf's Law. Why?
This economic law says that a network’s value grows proportionally to the square of its number of users, and applied to $BTC, it means that as more people use and hold Bitcoin, its overall market value increases exponentially.

As I was doing some simple calculations of investing in Bittensor $TAO subnets, the realization of exponential growth hit me....

Quick recap on the subnet architecture of Bittensor
Staking in Bittensor subnets earns APY because:
- Subnets reward contributors (miners/validators) with TAO tokens.
- Your staked TAO earns a share of these emissions.
- Compounding (weekly/epoch) grows your balance over time.
💡 Essentially: you earn “interest” for supporting the subnet’s AI tasks and network security.

Now back to my "ah hah" moment.

Let's take one example. I want to stake my $TAO into RESI LABS' subnet 46.
Price (in $TAO): .005824
1 $TAO = 170.445 alpha
Let's say I invest 15 $TAO into RESI = 2,550 alpha = $3,375

RESI currently has an APY of roughly 70%.

Let's assume the price of $TAO stays the same at $225. How much RESI alpha will I have after 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years?
1 year: Alpha ​= 2,550× 1.7 ≈ 4,335 alpha (25 $TAO = $5,726)
2 years: Alpha ​= 2,550 × 2.89 ≈ 7,360 alpha (43 $TAO = $9,717)
3 years: Alpha ​= 2,550 × 4.913 ≈ 12,525 alpha (73 $TAO = $16,530)

Now, let's assume the following:
Price of $TAO after year 1 = $500
After year 2 = $1,000
After year 3 = $3,000

How much is my RESI investment worth? Note: this is assume the price of the RESI alpha doesn't appreciate.
1 year: 25 × 500 ≈ $12,500 USD
2 years: 43 × 1,000 ≈ $43,000USD
3 years: 73 × 3,000 ≈ $219,000 USD

Now if the price of RESI token doubles or even 10x.... you can do the math.

Absolute massive opportunity in this Bittensor ecosystem. Everyone that is in now, is early IMO. Just imagine once big money starts flowing into the subnets.
