@shagbark_hick@DarkLincoln1863 I used to live next to the Coast Guard base in Charlestown, maybe they should smoke because everyone I met was a raging drunk
Might be because upstate NY is full of poverty and no jobs so no one is excited about giving their life and time away to a nation that doesn’t give two shits about them. Our citizenship is essentially meaningless, what are they defending?
My greatest blackpilling event was probably when I volunteered to do "hometown recruiting" when I was in the Coast Guard.
I drove to dozens of high schools all over Northern NY, talking to kids about life in the USCG.
Met hundreds of students -- got zero applicants.
I had assumed that it'd be a very easy thing, particularly because at the time, the CG was desperate for new recruits (which was very unusual).
So all I had to do was find the young men, tell them about the legitimately adventurous life that the USCG could offer them, share my glowing review of my time in the branch, and get them in contact with the recruiting office. The door was wide open for them to make what would certainly be one of the best decisions in their young life.
Instead of finding adventurous young men, I found visibly distressed, obese, effete, proudly lazy teenagers whose primary concern seemed to be about whether the job was "easy" and whether you get cell service when underway on a Coast Guard ship. Many were visibly high on marijuana, clad in sweatpants, long-haired, dead to the world.
Their interest was only vaguely piqued at the idea of the GI Bill. And at any appeal made to the bold adrenaline and selflessness of Search and Rescue operations at sea, I was met with bafflement and total disinterest.
At first, I thought it was a fluke -- that the school I visited first simply had a student body that was particularly dysfunctional. But soon, I found myself having the same experience at every school, without exception. And this went on for weeks. Day in, day out, the portrait of America's youth I saw was dismal.
If you ever wonder why I seem to have developed a passion for telling young men to get their asses in gear, to grow up, grab life by the horns, and to reject all forms of self-pity and passionlessness -- I think I picked it up when I did Hometown Recruiting.
Is there some new H-1B scam involving driving schools? Out of nowhere, I now see the “student driver” stickers everywhere, except there’s never a student driving the car. It’s always a middle-aged Indian man.
Importing cheaper foreign labor to replace qualified Americans is a betrayal of our workers and a blatant abuse of the H-1B program.
American workers FIRST.
@RealBroNat I always thought my family had hidden Jew. My moms family came from fucking Lithuania and were kind of swarthy, my grandma on my dads side had Matza all over and I had a great great grandma who looked suspect to me.
Dear Federal/Isreali agent in charge of spying on my account. Since you know so much about me, can you find me some female vocalists on X and tell them I need one to collaborate on a song I’m producing.
Call me a raycist or whatever but I simply do not believe that 75% of tech “experts” or “geniuses” all come from India. That’s obviously not meritocracy. There’s China. And then there’s freaking Japan and Korea and Taiwan, where almost all of your consumer *and* B2B tech is designed and often manufactured (besides America). There’s all of Europe, Australia, Canada. The entirety of the Middle East. Other parts of South Asia too.
But 75% of H-1B recipients are Indian. And it happens every single year.
Just end the program. If America wants a special program for just one country, fine. Let Democrats actually run on that platform.
@sth1d@TrustScore_1 All the startups they brag about creating are privatized DARPA projects and the CIA gives Indians money to be the face of it so they can steal all our data and spy on us.
@TrustScore_1 No we’re a county made up of Western Europeans who are of the Christian religion with a small African population we gave citizenship to and small amounts of other groups who assimilated. We are not a jobs fair for Indians with no skin in the game
@trashmanifesto@henri_fjord I stopped caring about being an anon, I think my family had ties to Rockefeller, Bush and Clinton…I grew up in a rich wealthy town.
Indians are getting flack because you side with Israel. No one is attacking Muslims, Mexicans, Whites or Blacks anymore. You need to stop abusing my nations visa system and kick Modi out of power and elect people who can fix your nations problems and not side with terrorists
@MT_6226 He’s just ripping off what the internet is saying, he’s literally married to an Indian and is telling you what you want to hear. Did Trump’s second term teach you nothing
