Deep within Sherwood lives Robin Puss—an outlaw hunting treasure.
Rich beyond measure, he still leaves the Hollow Oak with an empty pack.
Not because he needs more.
Because the treasure was never the point.
The hunt is everything. 🏹

I’ve mostly kept Robin Puss on its official page, but I’m going to start sharing more of it here too.
This is a project I’ve personally built and continue to support—from the character and story to the website, content and community.
We’re still early, but we’re making a serious push this week.

The merchants did not agree on what the traveler had seen.
One called it smuggling. The other called it a frightened story made larger with every telling. Neither knew who owned the wagons or what the sealed chests carried.
They agreed on only one thing.
The old road showed fresh wheel marks each morning after the wagons were seen.
I looked back through the trees toward the hidden opening. The ruts I had found on Merchant’s Way ended where the buried stones began. The route from the dry crossing matched every turn in their account.
The road had not been uncovered by accident.
It had not merely been searched.
Someone was using it.
And they trusted the forest to keep their passage hidden.

CHAPTER III — THE FIRST RUMOR
JOURNAL ENTRY II — VOICES ON MERCHANT’S WAY
A wagon reaches the place where two roads meet.
Its travelers carry nothing unusual—but their words confirm that the forgotten road has not been forgotten.
The journey continues.
I let the wagon move ahead before I followed.
The first merchant lowered his voice, but the forest carried it back to me.
A traveler had stopped near the eastern turn after nightfall. From his camp, he watched three covered wagons leave the main road without lanterns. Their canvas had been drawn tight. When one wheel caught in a rut, he saw sealed chests beneath it before the load was covered again.
“Could have been ordinary goods,” the second merchant said.
“Ordinary goods do not leave the road in darkness.”
The wheels rolled over a patch of stone, swallowing whatever came next.
I moved closer through the trees.
Three wagons. Covered loads. A road believed abandoned.
The rumor was beginning to take shape.

Some people wait until a project is everywhere.
Others find it while the path is still being built.
