I believe radical documentaries can essentially become a form of business. Like any film, this media format is perfect for conveying a message and inciting ideas in the viewers. Naturally this is the perfect tool to manipulate and convey a specific message to market it. #bcm332
Here I am standing under the snowfall in Tokyo looking upon the illuminated night sky....
oh wait- I’m just watching Japan travel Vlogs on YouTube while on my bed. The interconectivity of the Internet really does allow us to transcend space and time...

@gabe_creative I found it interesting that she took full blame for her department, where as normally in ‘free’ societies you would point out the problems that didn’t work for you. I think this is a reflection of NK’s collectivist approach in culture as she claimed responsibility for the group.
@gabe_creative From what I took away from Milton is that the free market is inherently a multi-cultural bridge because of how each component of a product may come from different places & cultures, a pencil and it’s many parts were used to explain this and how we have a cultural exchange.
@gabe_creative In context to the 90s, Hong Kong was seen as a city that blended both the past & the future in its architecture. I think that this aspect thematically compliments well with the film's own focus on what makes us human vs what makes us machine. I feel this is why HK was used.
@Phoebelamm@MariaFung4 Very detailed survey with questions that hit right on the mark with the feelings I go through when thinking about future careers hahaha
@gabe_creative In my experience, dance battles are derived from western culture, with the mc even briefly speaking English “let’s drop the beat”. The songs and dances each contestant utilizes are also well rooted in western culture. Maybe because the modern global audience enjoys foreign music.
@gabe_creative The interiors of these arcades are visually indicative of Japan's priority for convenience, having 50-100 game varieties set up to accommodate as many as possible. The loud explosion of sounds as you enter one really contrasts the hardcore gamer culture that thrives in arcades.
@gabe_creative The film has strong world-building imagery that is present throughout. The exaggerated imagery of the city is reflected by Japan's 80's economic boom, note that the themes of politics and the chaotic nature of the world are still very relevant even in most modern cities.
@gabe_creative Their lifestyle is far from ideal. They seem to have a lifestyle dedicated to refining their skills in-game, their relationships with their team members are very brotherly although it seems they barely spend time with their actual families much less interact with them.
@gabe_creative I believe that Godzilla is a physical manifestation of the dangers of nuclear weapons with him being a metaphor for the bombs itself. In the context of a 1950’s society, I believe he represents the anger, fear & pain most Japanese people felt in regard to the nuclear bombs in WW2
Although this type of interconnectivity is beneficial to our modern daily lifestyle, it can also work against us with the wrong use. These technologies can also be re-tooled to become the world's most advanced form of mass surveillance & invasion of privacy known to man.

How are you reading this post right now? It might be on mobile, maybe a tablet, but whatever device you’re using, it’s most definitely connected to the internet. IOTs connect more than you think, it connects pretty much most things in everyday life to our benefit.

Those thoughts that once plagued our curiosity quickly turned into a daunting reality. The ever-growing hacking culture, thanks to the internet's constant state of beta, has cultivated the most versatile digital weapons that now exist beyond the realm of mere vandalism.
