You are not going to believe how I got a 98 year-old
life long Republican to vote for me me instead of Jim Jordan in 2022:
The man pictured here is Bob.
When I first met him and told him I was running against Jim Jordan, he shot back that he was a staunch Republican.
I could have left the conversation there, but something made me engage him.
I then asked him a simple question: “What is your most important issue?”
I was shocked to hear what he said:
Social Security.
Like most seniors, he lived on a very short shoestring budget.
That was something I could immediately relate to.
My mother is currently fighting cancer, and relies on her Social Security to afford her medication.
Listening to him speak, I had an important realization - there are important issues that unite us.
Now that I’m on the campaign trail, I am meeting more and more people like Bob. Every single time, I get so angry that MAGA Republicans keep threatening that Social Security will go bust.
The truth is we could save Social Security and give everyone a raise if Congress just removed the Social Security cap.
It would be healthy and solvent overnight.
After my conversation with Bob he told me he would vote for me. He said he appreciated that I would fight for Social Security in a way that Jim Jordan never has and never would.
Sadly, Bob passed away earlier this year, but I cannot let him down.
This sweet old man was counting on me to help protect Social Security for all seniors in his position.
Let’s make Bob's dream of protecting Social Security happen.
@LakotaMan1 Last time I checked I have a pulse and have supported the Native Americans quest for my entire life. Along with fighting for rights for all.
@VoteDaza2022 Thank you for keeping up the fight. Remember when you talk to rural voters tell them how the Chips Act and Infrastructure Bills are making their lives better. Remind the voters that All of the Republican Reps voted against the Vets Bills and are attempting to cut vet benefits
Earlier this week on @VelshiMSNBC I had a message for Democrats about rallying around Biden’s accomplishments with a unified front.
Given the fantastic jobs numbers released, it furthers my point.

A member of the self appointed militia shows up armed & armored to break up a Pride event in Oregon.
He not only fails to intimidate the attendees, he gets totally owned by a kid passing by on his bike.
Got to love this kid.

"The elderly gentleman was seated in the booth directly across from my family as we ate dinner Saturday night at Eat'n Park in Belle Vernon. We really didn't see him come in. But we did notice when our server, Dylan, dropped to one knee to look him eye-to-eye as he got ready to take his order.
The man apologized for not hearing too well. He had forgotten to put in his hearing aids. He talked about how he lost his hearing during his time in the war. He was 91 years old with many stories to tell. Dylan patiently listened giving him his full attention.
Eventually the man apologized for talking so much. 'I'm alone now,' he said, 'and I don't often have someone to talk to.' Dylan smiled and said he enjoyed listening. He then helped him figure out what to order and left to take it to the kitchen. It was a touching sight.
I wanted offer to pay for the man's dinner, but before I could flag down Dylan, a man seated at a nearby booth asked Dylan to bring him his check. 'Someone's already taken care of it,' Dylan smiled.
I guess we weren't the only ones eavesdropping on the conversation. After the man received his food Dylan came back to say he was on a break.
He asked if he could sit with the gentleman as he ate. As we left the restaurant the two of them were conversing and many people seated nearby were smiling. It was a touching sight.
With all of the negative stories about our youth today this was a breath of fresh air. I wonder if I would have been as kind and attentive if I were the one working there.
One thing's for sure, if you are ever at Eat'n Park in Belle Vernon, ask for Dylan. If he's your waiter you're certain to get great service."

Now that I’m officially a Gwinnett Co. resident (Norcross/Peachtree Corners), I’d love help getting involved in community work out here.
I built a network in Cobb during my time there. I’d love to be as involved here in communitywork ♥️
Any help is appreciated!
@MissnDemocracy@Marcus4Georgia How do we reach the voters in the District? At this point until the Christian Nationalists and Klansman in the area are squashed she is safe. They do not realize she doesn't care about making their lives better and she sees them as a piggy bank.
@LakotaMan1 What a beautiful and comforting belief. It makes much more sense than what I was taught. Thank you for sharing that glimpse into the beliefs of the Lakota.
@Longjacket2 Tell me how that "body art" is any different than at a pride parade when a guy is in a Speedo with body paint? Actually I think it is worse since there is nothing left to the imagination on that woman
As we celebrate our nation this Fourth of July, I’m thinking of the countless service members who sacrifice so much to keep us safe.
We will always be in debt to those who defend our nation and democracy around the world.
