The whole world is God’s holy land,
NT Wright’s reading of Romans 8 and Psalm 2 opens our eyes to God’s plan for the world. The inheritance was never just a strip of territory. It was never just heaven. It was always the entire creation.

Economic disparity has existed throughout generations, in all cultures around the world. But have you ever considered that building God's church is the most powerful tool to bridge this gap?
In a truly diverse body of believers united around a shared faith, differences don't divide us. Instead, they become means of blessing and building each other up, opening opportunities--including economic opportunities--for those who may not have access to them anywhere else in their lives.

Nirup Alphonse has a message for parents: "Help our children get an imagination for what God can do in their life."
I never could have imagined what God would do with my life. Sometimes I am still in disbelief! I'm living proof that His plans are far greater than ours.

We are God’s handiwork. His poiema. His poem.
NT Wright unpacking Ephesians 2 is a reminder that the good works we’re called to aren’t about earning anything–they’re about displaying a God of love to a world that doesn’t know Him yet.

This is food, cooked and offered by hands that have known immense suffering. I received it with gratitude and an overwhelmed heart.
This week, I am with students at Darsha Academy, a school in southern India that I had the opportunity to help found 6 years ago, and sponsor. We are currently sponsoring the college education of 120 students and high school education (11th and 12th grades) of 60 students. I will share more in a following post about the excellence of the Darsha education and our current plan to build a new campus in Bangalore, India.
The most meaningful part of my trips to Darsha is not only the time I get to spend with the students, but the time I get to spend at their homes. Today, along with my oldest daughter, son, and niece, I had the opportunity to visit the house of a student whose mother cried and shared with me the story of her life, how her husband tragically died, how immense poverty led her to consider suicide, and how Darsha is giving her entire family a hope and an opportunity for the future. I sat there overwhelmed, grateful to Jesus for putting me in this position, and grateful that my children could also hear these stories. I prayed for this family whom God loves more than I can ever imagine.

Yes, AI will disrupt some jobs. But it will also create industries that don't exist yet.
@mcuban shares why that's a reason for optimism.

While I don't agree with everything about Bezos, I fully supportthis sentiment from his recent interview. Good business is ablessing to the world and has the potential to create moreimpact than charitable giving. If I really care about improvingsociety, I should be just as focused on supporting goodbusiness through my investing as I am about giving generouslyto charity. What do you think?

Every Wall Street movie ever made is about greed. But investing was never supposed to be that way.
At Eventide, we allocate capital to companies whose products and practices are genuinely good–because when the righteous prosper, the city rejoices.

I am so excited for my good friend Matt Rusten, whose wonderful book “Pastoring for Monday” is releasing today. Matt is a wonderful leader and example of bringing his God-given gifts to his daily life and work.
A practical, actionable manual for church leaders, this book will help pastors competently shepherd every congregant―from the teacher and accountant to the nursing home aide―to live out their faith every day of the week.

What does it mean to have dominion over the work of God's hands as an investor?
I believe God has gifted us uniquely to accomplish His purposes on the Earth. And for those of us who invest, that calling doesn't stop on Wall Street.
In this conversation, I unpack how our everyday investing can reflect the world God wants to see.

At Eventide, we talk a lot about impact. But impact in any line of work starts with presence.
Pastor Nirup Alphonse summarizes this well, “At a table we recognize that people are stories.”
That is where transformation happens.

“In every field, we are His representatives of how things should get done.”
While my friend Nirup Alphonse is a pastor, he also recognizes the unique ministry every Christian is called to.
Our faith should shape how we work. How we lead. How we invest.

Shareholder engagement is a hot topic, and our perspective may surprise you.
At Eventide, we're not going to invest in companies with harmful products or practices (like tobacco) even if that means we would have the opportunity to impact another element of the business (like DEI).
However, there are times we will engage—usually when a company that already has good products and practices starts to drift from their mission or makes a questionable decision.
Engagement is good, but it is not the primary purpose of investing.

@randyalcorn on the idea that Christians should be investing in all manner of companies just so we can engage with them:
"Do we invest in evil so we can get some credibility among the evildoers? You should never enter into evil in order to address evil."

@randyalcorn reveals why It's difficult for individuals to practice faith-based investing on their own.
What he says is true. When my co-founder Finny Kuruvilla began investing while in med school, he found he could not in good conscience invest in any popular mutual funds.
He decided to take Peter Lynch's advice and "invest in what you know"—researching healthcare companies himself so that he could make sure they were aligned with his values.
Eventide was born out of this pain point for Christian investors and exists today to make it much easier for you to be proud of what you own.
