Interior PS Raymond Omollo says the government is working to ensure Kenyans across the country can easily get national identification cards (IDs).

"An identification card allows the government to know our citizens, accurately track our population size, and plan for national development."

"Previously, a Kenyan from a border county faced endless hurdles to get an ID while someone in Nairobi could acquire theirs effortlessly," PS Omollo indicated.

"We must reject the misuse of polls to shape political perceptions without credible evidence," Lang'ata MP aspirant Hajji Omar has said.

Hajji was reacting to the Chemi Chemi Analytics poll that ranked him fifth in the Parliamentary race with 9%, saying things are different on the ground.

"My focus remains on engaging residents and addressing the real challenges facing Lang’ata. As a Linda Mwananchi aspirant, I remain committed to a people-centred agenda focused on jobs, healthcare, education, sanitation, security and better infrastructure."

“Lang’ata needs solutions, not hostility; leadership, not political theatrics; and service, not manufactured perceptions. The people of Lang’ata deserve a peaceful campaign and the freedom to make their own informed choices,” Hajji argued.

The Chemi Chemi Analytics poll released on Wednesday, October 21, places ODM's Davji Atellah at 38%, Abbas Khalif at 24%, Brian Midiwo at 17% and Steve Oguwa at 12%.

"We are tired of scandals that are following the government projects. National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gladys Shollei says the government has invested in technical and vocational training to close the skilled labour gap.

"To support this, we needed to ensure we have TVET teachers who can train students. This led to the establishment of the Kenya School for TVET, where 3,200 teachers have already been trained, and more are set to graduate," she added.
