After dipping in Norfolk on 21.10.22, adding BLUE ROCK THRUSH to my life list became a mission on my latest trip. We had to go to 1300 ft above sea level for the best chance of seeing this species.
We weren't disappointed!

Sylvia/curruca are my favourite genus of bird by far. Studying SARDINIAN WARBLERS at close range back in November in la palma,Canaries and unwrapped this book on xmas day rounded up my xmas and Year very well!

Unless these birds are moving, they are very hard to find. Even when they are moving they are still hard to pin point. Their camouflage is excellent.
