@EricRSammons The advice should be no one should attend sspx mass full stop. Idk why a catholic would want to attend a mass with excommunicated priests and bishops.
@FeelsGuy2003@TaylorRMarshall Gotta respect TM. I used to dunk on him for being all about the viewership. He’s going to lose a lot of support for this. But he is right, and the Lord will reward him.
🚨 The SSPX leaders should have told the truth when the liturgy asked for the papal mandate by saying:
“No, we don't have an apostolic mandate. We are doing this against the expressed will of Pope Leo because we are right and he is wrong.”
Instead, they read from a rolled parchment with a red ribbon, as if it were a papal ecclesial decree from
Rome.
There is now a massive wave of disapproval from Catholics who would otherwise be sympathetic to the SSPX, because this “pseudo-mandate” comes off as a dishonest stunt performed during the liturgy. This liturgical innovation is clearly “not traditional.”
@endoftake@EricRSammons Canon 1752 cannot be used to disobey a lawful directive from the vicar of Christ. You are a sedevacantist. Just admit it. Their position makes way more sense than the sspx position.
@shackletoned@AFpost Sorry for assuming your emotional defense of schismatics meant you were also one. It’s actually a very reasonable assumption. But I know the “low iq” thing is your go to 👍
@shackletoned@AFpost Too low IQ? You’re literally a schismatic.
I’ll keep praying from inside the Church that Christ gives us holy priests and popes in the future.
@shackletoned@AFpost The answer is not cutting yourself off from the vicar of Christ. And yes, it’s a red herring bc that’s not the matter at hand. The matter at hand is the pope asked them not to do something and they did it anyway.
