Lincoln and Kennedy similarities. Both were were elected president in 60. 1860 and 1960. Hundred years apart. Both successors were a Johnson. Andrew Johnson and Lyndon Johnson, and both vice presidents were born 100 years apart. 1808 and 1908. Both body guards were named William. Both assassins full names have exactly 15 letters. Both assassins were killed before their trial.
@AllTwistedHopes@HandyDan616210 Read Galatians 3:28 and Romans 10:12. All who accept Christ are saved. This is no special gathering for the Jews. We are all grafted together.
I've never been a big fan of present-day Western church culture. I'm not against it, but not a fan. There are several reasons. We tried several local churches. They want your name, address, and phone number so they can visit your house if you miss a Wednesday or Sunday service. Yes, this happens. At one church, we were given a membership sign-up sheet but didn't fill it out since we were just visiting. On our second visit, the lady who gave us the sheet said, “You didn’t fill this out last time. I need you to fill it out, please.” It asked for name, number, and address. It’s almost like time share sales. Another church my wife attended asked for her income information to manage her tithing and ensure she gave the expected amount. Perhaps this is normal, and I’m the odd one out. Aside from that, the pastor seems to cherry-pick verses and take them out of context. Note that I am not against church. It just doesn’t vibe with me sometimes. This pop-culture church era isn’t for me.
Interesting for sure. Another concept I’ve heard is that when John teaches of a new earth and new heaven. It doesn’t mean an actual new planet. But rather our current earth will be made new to us when we rid it of sin and evil. Think of it like restoring an old classic car. It’s still the same old car, but restored back to new.
I am not trying to be a sensationalist to undermine Christianity. When we read the Bible, we see that 2/3 of it is dedicated to warning us about future prophecy. Daniel’s 70th week will be the ultimate test. Many will fall victim to the Antichrist’s deception campaign. Including Christians. Yet time and time again, Christian’s tend to disregard eschatology, and understanding how the end times will unfold. This, rather should shake and wake Christians up so that they may stay rooted in faith and not stray. If one were biblically literate, they would know that many will lose faith during that time, because they ignored the signs. Matthew 24:10-13 and verse 25
That’s how it sounds to me. The Antichrist will rise from the Middle East. In or around Syria and Turkey. He will lead a coalition of Muslim nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39 against Israel. And this really aligns with today’s current events. We see the Middle East Muslim nations are largely very anti Israel. Iran being the most aggressive with “death to Israel” and of course Turkey and Syria are not friendly to Israel, among others. Muslims, for the most part are very antisemitic, and that hatred has grown ten-fold since the war with Gaza opened up. So this picture of Muslim Middle East nations going against Israel really aligns well with Zechariah 14 and Ezekiel 38-39. Here is another fascinating current event fact that seems to align well with prophecy. Note how powerful and influential Iran has been the decades leading up to this war. They were a regional juggernaut with proxies in Lebanon, Yemen, Gaza ETC. yet, in Ezekiel’s oracle of 38-39 the leading force is Syria and Turkey with Iran playing a secondary role, not a leading role. Verse 5: “Persia (Iran) will be with them” I think Iran is a secondary “tag along” nation rather than a leading nation is because they’ve been severely subdued due to this current war. Read Ezekiel 38:8 “in future years you’ll invade a land (Israel) that has recovered from war” I believe this current war is the war Israel recovers from in Ezekiel 38:8. Which means we are very very close to the end times.
We can go back and forth. This is a great convo. Paul is speaking of the 7 trumpets in Revelation. This is why the 7th trumpet in Revelation 10:7 ends with “the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants (Paul and others) the prophets.” Martha was speaking of the gathering/rapture/resurrection. Remember what Paul said, “the dead will rise first and we who are alive will be caught up in the air with them” this is referring to the rapture/resurrection at the end of this era. Revelation 20 is referring to those dead without Christ. Those who didn’t believe and those who refused to repent and glorify Christ, those whose name were not in the book of life (verse 15). Because those in Christ are raptured/resurrected together, at the same time at the end of this age. Which goes back to Paul’s message in 2 Thess 2 that we will not be gathered until after the Antichrist is revealed. Which mirrors Matthew 24 with the Antichrist coming in verse 15 and rapture at verse 31. Which aligns well with Revelation 6. Note that Revelation 6:12-14 mirrors Matthew 24:29. Note that the rapture is at Matthew 24:31 which is reflected in Revelation 7:9-17. Another neat thing to note. Revelation 6 ends with they called to the mountains and rocks “fall on us and hide us (from Jesus) which mirrors Matthew 24 when Jesus returns and verse 30 “and they will mourn when they see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven” they mourn because their wrath has come. We are whisked away (raptured) right at this point. Then the wrath is delivered. So Matthew 24 and Revelation 6 mirror each other detailing Daniel’s 70th week. With Revelation 6 ending with verse 17 “for the great day of their wrath has come, who can withstand it.” I know I spilled out a lot here. But thanks for taking the time
I’ve heard people say that Macron is the Antichrist. And others said it was Obama. Plenty say it’s Trump or Kushner. Or the Pope or Putin. But one thing is for certain. The coalition of nations that advance onto Israel during the 70th week are Muslim nations in and around Israel, as mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39. It makes biblical sense for the Antichrist to rise to power from these nations. Specifically Turkey and Syria. Micah refers to the Antichrist as “The Assyrian” and Ezekiel refers to him as “Gog of Magog” and Isaiah refers to him as “the Assyrian” and “king of Babylon.” The interesting thing about ancient Babylon, Assyria and Magog is that they all overlap as geographically modern day Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran. And possibly parts of Jordan and Lebanon. Which aligns well with Ezekiel’s list of nations. Therefore it would be hard to conceive the idea that the Islamic world will march to the beat of a drum by a Jew or Christian or secular. But when we take into consideration the nations I listed. It makes perfect sense for the Antichrist to actually arise from that geographical location, and potentially be a Muslim. Have you heard of Al-Sharaa? New president of Syria. He’s gained enormous power in the short time he’s been in office. Trump has met with his several times and he’s growing in power. Some say he is a prime Antichrist candidate. Who knows, time shall tell. We will know very soon. The end is very near.
Check out 1 Corinthians 15:52 “in a flash, in the thinking of an eye, at the last trumpet” key being the last trumpet. This mirrors the trumpet in the verse you mentioned in 1 Thess 4:16-17. So the last trumpet happens after the Antichrist is revealed. Which is the last day mentioned by Martha in John 11:24 speaking about Lazarus “I know he will rise again at the resurrection at the last day.” While you’re right, ground zero of the end times will be centered on the Jews and on Jerusalem. We believers in Christ will be here throughout Daniel’s 70th week. But we are spared wrath.
Wanna know something dumb? My microwave continues beeping for a few seconds even after I take out the food and walk away. This is especially annoying when I'm trying to sneak a 2 a.m. snack. I guess I’ll just have to pop the door open at 0:01.
I’m glad you brought that up. Ancient Babylon, Magog and Assyria on a map all overlap as modern day Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran. Likely parts of Jordan and Lebanon also. So in Ezekiel 38/39 Gog of Magog is the Antichrist. In Micah he’s referred to as “the Assyrian” and in Isaiah he is also referred to as “the Assyrian” and “king of Babylon.” Which all three locations overlap geographically like I mentioned earlier. So the view is that the Antichrist will arise from this general geographical region. When we look at the nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39 we see that these are primarily Muslim nations that advance into Israel, nations I mentioned. So the Antichrist coming from Syria/Turkey makes sense. As he will lead a coalition of Muslim nations against Israel during the 70th week.
The rapture isn’t immediately after the Antichrist is revealed. But certainly after. Let’s level set. The man of lawlessness is the Antichrist. When we read Matthew 24 we see a timeline of the end times events. It aligns with 2 Thessalonians 2. With the revealing of the Antichrist/ Abomination of desolation at verse 15 and we see the rapture/gathering at verse 31. Which is after the revealing. Now onto the day of the Lord. After the Antichrist’s reign of 42 months (or 3 and a half years) the day of the Lord begins. With the destruction of the Antichrist and all those who are evil, and the restoration of Israel and the establishment of Jesus’ kingdom.
