@NewcastleNE1@Waterstones Great bit of advice to anyone shopping in/walking around Newcastle - look up every so often. McD's on Northumberland St one of my faves 👍
@RobsonNewcastle Got an amazing birthday present yesterday - a telescope engraved F. Robson (no & Co.), 45 Dean Street so between 1867-1883. Optics still good after a wee clean. Used it on the super moon last night.
@Dreamifestation @MsiDouglas@toonmadmag I'm sure somebody much more savvy about these things than I will know the answer but I did wonder whether that was what @GeorgeCaulkin was referring to in his Athletic article.
@MsiDouglas@toonmadmag Depending on the currency of the transaction, that £340m asking price could actually cost the buyer a lower amount than a few weeks or months ago, while Ashley still gets the "full" amount. Is that how these things work?

@MsiDouglas@toonmadmag It's also worth considering the effect of the exchange rate on these things - the difference between £340m in Dollars with an XR of 0.87 (few weeks ago) and 0.82 (today) is almost $25m by my (probably dodgy) maths.

I've absolutely butchered the #DollyPartonchallange to make an advert for contact lenses. I feel like I've let the entire internet down. Forgive me Sir Tim!
To the bloke at @Nclmarkets who just knocked all of his wife's churros on the floor trying to pinch one when she wasn't looking - we're open until 5.30 tonight if you need somewhere to hide. #Christmas@NewcastleNE1
@SpecsLady_Faye@OptometryToday 3. I think we'd probably have taken the punt on modernising much earlier. It's hard because you don't want to lose the history, but it's important to move forward continually and decisively.
4. To grow old gracefully 👴

@SpecsLady_Faye@OptometryToday Thanks Faye😊
In order...
1. Biggest change would have been the formation of the NHS - switched focus to eye/health care
2. For me (personally) helping a young lady from Ireland sort out her cataracts - not a huge thing but she was so happy and emotional, it set me off too! (1/2)
