Stand Up To Racism Oppose Bicester Asylum Seeker Camp.

In a clear display of refugees welcome, just not here, the Oxford branch of Stand Up To Racism has launched a petition loudly opposing plans to house 1,250 asylum seekers on a former Ministry of Defence site near Bicester.

This is the same group that has spent years chanting Refugees Welcome every summer and branding anyone raising concerns about the impact on local communities as far-right.

Now they claim the asylum accommodation will become a focal point for far-right demonstrations and threatens social cohesion.

For years Stand Up To Racism has pushed open-door campaigns and counter-protested against locals worried about similar asylum sites in other towns, labelling objectors as racists.

Now they are using identical arguments to block the development in their own area.

The saga has triggered a wave of online mockery, with many pointing out that the far-right threat was never the cartoon villains they claimed, it was ordinary residents, local mums, dads and families worried about the community.

The petition is live. Planning objections remain open. And the laughter from the rest of the country is only growing louder.

Refugees welcome? Just not here.

A man was attacked by a gang of black men. Police, with a full view of the incident, grabbed the victim instead. Have they learned nothing?

He swung at the cop as he got up after being knocked down by the gang. It's reasonable to think the attackers were continuing their assault, so he swung in self defense. No normal person in that situation would expect police to be grabbing them. He should sue these retards.
