🍊Let's stop the charade.
Gerry McNamara has always bled Orange. We knew one day it'd be his team, so let's bring back his leadership + FIRE. There is no one better coach to re-ignite SYRACUSE fans & fill a collective's coffer$. No one will work harder to restore the pride!
CHAMPIONSHIP-BOUND! Irondequoit baseball is headed to the Section V Championship Game for the first time since 2003!
The fifth-seed Eagles stunned #1 Pittsford Mendon, 12-10, in a semifinal slugfest. IHS (12-7) faces #3 Canandaigua (17-5) in Friday's 4 PM title game at Dwyer Stadium in Batavia.
IHS survived a five-run rally Tuesday by Mendon (17-4) in the bottom of the seventh inning and left the tying runs on base. Senior starter Brayden Delly threw 4 2/3
innings, allowing two runs in the first before settling in and allowing 3 earned runs. He struck out 6 and also hit a two-run double. Senior Alex McLaughlin tossed the final 2 1/3 innings.
Much like its 8-1 quarterfinal win at #4 Eastridge, IHS broke the game open with a big second inning. The Eagles exploded for seven runs and kept adding to its lead for a 12-5 cushion headed to the final inning.
Coach Joey Kuhn used some trickery to manufacture runs, as multiple bunts and steals helped plate runners. Eight of the nine Eagles in the lineup scored. Senior Max Spitz led the offense with 3 hits, 2 RBI, 3 Runs and 2 steals. Junior Jackson Mroczek and sophomore Jimmy Jackson each had two hits and an RBI.

I'd also like to know why the #Celtics treated Payton Pritchard like he was invisible the final eight minutes. Brown was good. White was fair (late). Needed more. Yes, Pritch missed that open 3 but his ability to drive and collapse the D could have helped.
@Espngreeny No, they didn't. Their coach had no other plan other than "shoot, shoot, shoot 3s!" The fact that they've lost 2 years in a row because they have no other counter punch ... not a good look. Never should have gotten to Game 7. A lot of this is on Mazzulla. Gotta have a change up.
Embiid clearly couldn't defend in the post and the shot-happy Celtics just kept firing 3s. Take it to the hole!!
Why not mix in that zone again? Joe Mazzulla - come on. You are apparently only as good as your 3-pt shooters. When they don't hit, you have no counter. Hard to watch
@GwashburnGlobe Good. Maybe the boston brain trust and the star players will actually show up with a different plan on Saturday and Gm 7. when the shots don't fall from deep, it's the same old, same old. Insanity.
