From the base pixel I was able to create frames for an idle position and walking. I think there are some mistakes yet which I will need to figure out how to fix, but for now it allows for me to test how a character looks within the game

ChatGPT is amazing, from one image to pixel art. Of course I need to always tell it what I want and do multiple versions until I’m satisfied. It’s not just click and get

For the lore of the game I decided to go with Iberian mythology since old times, this includes the region of Portugal and Spain. I’m trying to get away of the typical Nordic, and Greek mythologies that have contaminated all RPGs so that the players can experience something fresh

I asked ChatGPT to start designing the main character. After many tries I got to something I’m satisfied with. Later I will develop the character design by myself, but now this works as a place holder.

Introducing Egas, the main character of my rpg

@futsugame2 Life is to be enjoyed

Is this still considered “AI slop” when basically you are doing the work of every director ? Instead of having a staff member doing it, it’s just the AI.

I started to consider how some of the locations are going to be
Asked ChatGPT to design some locations based on my instructions. Then in Miro I sketch over and point errors and things I want to change, then I tell ChatGPT and I start to perfect the design until I’m satisfied

@ObsoleteSony Will it ever be possible to have access to more than 1,000 songs?

[アレックス | RPG @RockBockPock]

@lnkiai If using AI to create a game, depending on how much ambition you have, it can get reasonably cheap. Around 10,000 yen a month I would say. Depends how far you want to go and how much you AI you need

[アレックス | RPG @RockBockPock]

@icreatelife I just started, but I’m doing my best! Using AI to help me make a full RPG from scratch and documenting the process

@Zxf8ok578549qk Lifestyle more than money. Safe and clean cities, healthy tasty food (specially Osaka). People well mannered and with common sense. The best place in the world

I started to play with 3D environments and see how camera pans out automatically as the character moves through the scene.

This model was done in Archicad, an architectural software I’m very fond of using in my real job for architecture design. Luckily I can import the models.

Adding text that makes the player interested is going to be the difficult part for me. I don’t want to start falling into the mistake of fetch quests or uninteresting dialog. NPCs should feel alive and make part of the world so that the player can feel more immersed

My NPCs have grown up over night.
I also gave the combat a dynamic camera that follows the party or the enemies depending on who’s attacking. It’s still very basic, but for me it’s starting to look quite cool
