I founded the University of Chicago in 1892, and by the time of my death I had donated about $35 mill. I created the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research ( Rockefeller University) in NYC (1901‘) the General Education Board (1902), and the Rockefeller Foundation (1913).🧠💪🏼

Even though my company had to split in 1899, I created the Standard Oil Company before the Supreme Court ruled in unconstitutional in 1911😋 I had made billions because my company made a lot and I was the only one working, therefore I didn’t have to pay anyone! More for me💸

In 1892 the Ohio Supreme Court ruled that the Standard Oil Trust was a monopoly, and that it violated the state antitrust law 🙄 I dissolved the trust and transferred the properties to companies in other states.

In 1897 I decided to focus on philanthropy, and created educational and charitable institutions 🤝

Within 2 years the Standard Oil Company became the largest refinery in the area! 💰 I had a very big emphasis on economical operations and the Standard Oil Company prospered and bought out our competitors, until 1872 we controlled nearly all the refineries in Cleveland 😎
