@geoffkeighley@DolbyTheatre Brother what are you even talking about? You had an overwhelming amount of contacts for almost a decade prior! You're literally the Dorito Pope!!!
I guess you don't have to stop dreaming if you sell yourself to corpo fucks that pay your to shill for garbage video games.
I have no dog in this race because I'm never going to play this game. But this is hilarious. It sounds like the amount of people that want to play this game is pitifully low. Then top that with the fact they're likely going to charge a hundred bucks for this? I dunno. We'll see.
I mean.. Like I fucking care. Sony hasn't made anything I wanted to play in a decade other than one video game.. Ghost of Tsushima. Honestly? Sucker Punch? Leave Sony. Leave those incompetent fucks and make an indie studio. I'll buy your games day fucking one.
I genuinely have no idea what Sony will do. Will they double down on the western studios that have lost them hundreds of millions of dollars? Will they unceremoniously shut them down and focus on their supposed single eastern studio? I think I know what the general consumer wants
All I know, is if I was the head of Sony and my investment on Naughty Dog and Bungie fumbled this hard? I'd fire them all and never work with any of them ever again. "You people want Bloodborne 2? We paid From Software a hundred million dollars for Bloodborne 2."
Fuck the corps, fuck the government, fuck these people that try to give you your own special little month. Don't give into this nonsense. They don't care about you, they hate you. They just what your money, and your vote. Disengage, don't play their game. Live your life.
They just want your money. The ones with the rainbow flags are pulling you into supporting them because they want you to think they support you, when they hate you more than any other group ever will. That's an absolute god damn fact.
Ugh.. Pride month..
Corpos eat your fucking heart out. You can benefit from a niche marketable group of people to show the masses that "you're one of the good ones."
Be smart this year and understand that you're being manipulated. This isn't a month for you.
It's a month for them to make money in a slightly different way. If you see a product with a rainbow flag? Don't buy it. Buy something that has no officiating whatsoever, because they're not trying to manipulate you. They don't care who or what you believe in.
Look, I don't care about box office returns on movies because the value of art can never be measured by monetary success, but when an inherently derivative, corporately engineered cash grab movie fails on the scale of 'The Mandalorian and Grogu', while original stories thrive at the same time, that feels like a cultural shift that I fully endorse.
Passion projects by young directors dominating the box office instead of franchise story 27 is a healthy development that will keep the art of cinema alive.
This is monumental. The people with passion and drive to create a compelling story showing these out of touch elites of Hollywood what the people actually want. They don't want nepotistic hires that actively hate the average movie goer. They want good movies!!
