Andre Drummond on the Warriors with Steph Curry and Kevin Durant 👀
“I hated playing them… I would sleep a day early just for that game... They changed the NBA and made it very hard for centers to stay around... A lot of people fizzled out not being able to shoot the 3 ball.”

Hall of Fame coach Rick Adelman has passed away at the age of 79, the @NBA_Coaches announced.

Condolences to his family 🙏
The Rockets missed an NBA record 27 STRAIGHT THREES in their Game 7 loss to the Warriors in the WCF on this day in 2018 🧱
They went 7-of-44 from downtown 🥶
Rockets reportedly eyeing Jaylen Brown
Could Houston actually build a package Celtics would consider?
KD or Sengun + picks would be the framework in theory
“Toughest player gotta be KD. Great talent. Probably the best scorer of all time.”

As they say… history often repeats itself 👀
On May 24th, 1995, before Game 2 of the WCF, Hakeem Olajuwon watched David Robinson receive the MVP award after an incredible regular season.
Many believed Robinson deserved the award…but many also still believed Hakeem was the better overall player when it mattered most.
That same night, Hakeem responded by completely ruining Robinson’s MVP celebration with an all-time playoff masterpiece:
🔹 41 points
🔹 16 rebounds
🔹 4 assists
🔹 3 blocks
🔹 2 steals
Now, nearly 31 years later to the day…history gave basketball fans a wild coincidence.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander received his MVP award before Game 1 of the WCF against the Spurs…and that same night, Victor Wembanyama answered with a ridiculous two-way performance of his own:
🔹 41 points
🔹 24 rebounds
🔹 3 assists
🔹 1 steal
🔹 3 blocks
Absolute domination on both ends of the floor.
Two different eras.
Two legendary big men.
Two MVP nights spoiled by monster performances.
An unbelievably unique coincidence in NBA history 🍿
Draymond Green on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s MVP announcement blunder:
“I think the NBA has to do something about that. You're the NBA. You control the media… To tweet at 6 o'clock in the morning who the NBA MVP is, it's actually embarrassing. Like, it makes our league look like we have no organization. It makes our league look like child's play. We can't hold the winner of the most prestigious individual award in the NBA? We can't hold those results until it's actually time to be announced? That was a little disappointing. There's no way that can happen… It also can't be that important to leak information. Like, come on. I thought that was pretty pathetic, if I'm being honest… Shams has to be in partnership with the NBA to be as prominent as he is. That can’t happen. So I thought that was embarrassing.”

"I played on seven different teams. Once, I even got traded, and I found out on ESPN. Not even a phone call. ... I got in the gym and I got to work."

“He’s got an unbelievable ability to manipulate what the rules are. We were together for four years in Houston, and he and I would play 1-on-1, and he would foul bait me… He would practice those things.”
J.B. Bickerstaff on James Harden 😅

James Harden is the first player in NBA history to record 30+ points in a playoff game for 6 different teams 😲
1 - Cavs
2 - Clippers
3 - Sixers
2 - Nets
41 - Rockets
1 - Thunder
The Houston Rockets could be a perfect fit for Josh Giddey if Bryson Graham and the Chicago Bulls decide to move on.
Giddey’s playmaking would elevate Kevin Durant, Amen Thompson, Reed Sheppard, and Alperen Sengun while filling Houston’s need for a true creator.
Thoughts on AJ Dybantsa's ideal current starting 5? 🤔
