AU where Laika used cross fusion once, decided it was still bull shit, and instead of following orders to use it he just starts pulling up to fights with a regular gun and sword (it lowkey works half the time)

The reason it works isnt because of the weapons themselves but his strategies, agility, and stealth
The attacks themselves dont do much damage if any at all, but they distract and/or disarm the enemies enough for Searchman's warp shot to work or to be an assist to Netto or Enzan
