We had the BEST morning at our ‘Red Carpet Authors Celebration!” ❤️📚 I love how proud they are of their books! They got to walk the red carpet, read their books to second graders, & enjoy some refreshments afterwards! These kiddos felt like true super stars! ⭐️#kidsdeserveit
When 100% of your students match their text evidence with the correct topic from their text, and you watch the lesson come full circle as they highlight text evidence and fill out their Venn diagrams, I’d call this a great day of learning in third grade! ❤️ #engagedlearning
A great day of learning all around. Nonfiction book projects, equal parts with fractions, and a live read aloud of “You are Enough,” by Sofia Sanchez. #nationalreadaloudday
Incorporating food into a lesson is like magic. It’s amazing to see what they do when they can really connect to it! ❤️ We love math!! #fractionsarefun#easyascake
Our 2022 vision boards turned out so good! I really wanted to display them in the hallway, but these kiddos are way too excited and proud to get them home, so pictures will have to do! ⭐️❤️ #VisionBoard
We had such a fun morning celebrating this school year! Our Kids Choice Awards followed by an ice cream social was the perfect way to kick off summer break! 💛⛱☀️ #Getyourteachon#Gyto
1️⃣ year ago today the call was made to close schools! These kiddos are a part of history, and it made today’s writing so much fun! I love writing with my students. The best part about writing is that no matter what level they are, they can all produce something they are proud of!
1st day of learning, and following our normal virtual schedule! Although I couldn’t be right next to them, Flat Mrs. Quinn sure was! #virtuallearning#thirdgrade
Social media vs. reality
When my Arkansas first and second year past students come to play baseball in Alabama, I had to make the hour drive to see them! ❤️⚾️ It was so good to see them all, but when did they get so tall? 😭#Relationshipsmattermost
@TechNinjaTodd A3: I use an economy system. Each student has a specific job that they apply for each 9 weeks. Examples of jobs include; banker, custodian, teacher’s assistant, etc. Students are paid based on their work, and deductions are taken accordingly! Each month, they pay rent.
@EmilyAPaschall Aww @EmilyAPaschall, you just made my night!! 🥰 You are the best! So thankful @LCSforKids brought us together. You’re definitely one of those people I needed in my life. You inspire me.
Well, I finished #KidsDeserveIt tonight, & I must admit... I’m a little sad it’s over! I can’t wait to dig into another @burgessdave published book. His books are THE BEST! {The way they feel, the way the words are put onto the pages, everything... I can’t even explain it!} 📚💥
@KidsDeserveIt@TechNinjaTodd A2: I think it’s important to model the behavior of a leader & point out a students strengths. Building their confidence & allowing them to do things out of their comfort zone is HUGE!!! #WhenKidsLead
