ALERT: 🇹🇼Taiwan will impose emergency short-selling curbs starting MONDAY, and stands ready to deploy a $15 BILLION fund after the TAIEX’s worst week since 2001.
The TAIEX, Taiwan’s market-cap-weighted benchmark dominated by TSMC, plunged a record 3,737.67 points (9%) intraday Friday.
TAIEX broke below 40,000, hit 37,837.05 and entered a bear market, posting its fourth-largest closing point loss.
As the AI selloff spread from Wall Street to Asia, TSMC fell 4.46% to NT$2,140 in Taiwan on Friday after its U.S.-listed shares sank 10.78% Thursday.
Taiwan will cut the intraday short-sale cap for borrowed shares from 30% to 3% of a stock’s 30-day average daily volume and raise the minimum margin requirement from 90% to 130%.
$TSM closed $375.44, up $22.34 (+6.33%), on Friday amid the news as the curbs could EASE short-selling pressure on the stock.
Of note, TSMC's revenue also JUMPED 41% to $47 BILLION as gross margin hit 66%, even while the stock slid 26% in a month.
Foreign investors have sold more than $45 BILLION in Taiwanese shares on a net basis this quarter, per Bloomberg.
@vandell33 So, in other words lock people out of their Fiat money, and then offer a solution to replace with the same value of their Country's CBDC replacement . . ?
I can see the Banks doing exactly this.
Your money gets stolen in a “cyber attack” & the only way the bank will reimburse you is by giving you the equivalent amount of CBDC.
If you don’t take it you lose everything.
Very cunning way of onboarding people to CBDC & Agenda 2030
⚡ CARAVANS. MOTORHOMES. BOATS. ALL UNDERGROUND.
The camera keeps moving, and there’s another row of vehicles around the next bend. It’s an extraordinary sight. It got me thinking about a much more ordinary question.
If the power went out tonight and stayed off until tomorrow, how would your household get through it?
Could you find a torch in the dark, make a meal without the cooker and check on someone who lives alone? Try your plan while the lights are still on. You’ll find out quickly what you’ve got covered and what you’ve overlooked.
Don’t be scared, be prepared.

⚠️ALERT: Hackers are now targeting WordPress, the software behind 39.5% of all websites online.
A critical flaw lets attackers take over a WordPress site in the seconds it spends updating, without needing to log in.
During a full update, WordPress briefly stages its installer in a public folder, and anyone who reaches it in that window can run their own code on the server.
It affects every version from 4.7 to 7.1.3, nearly 10 years of releases going back to December 2016.
What has happened so far:
Security firm Wordfence flagged the flaw, now tracked as CVE-2026-119977
Its first firewall block came just 9 minutes after the protection went live
It saw more than 18,500 attack attempts in the first 21 hours after the flaw went public
Some attackers spent about 14.5 hours repeatedly checking small groups of sites, waiting to catch one mid-update
Wordfence blocked 12,632 attempts in a single 24-hour period
On Nov 3, US cyber agency CISA confirmed active attacks and ordered federal agencies to patch by Nov 6
What’s being done:
WordPress has released fixed versions for every affected branch, including 7.1.4.
Wordfence is blocking the attacks with a firewall rule.
Wordfence urges site owners to update as soon as possible, and says they can block access to PHP files in /wp-content/upgrade/ before updating for extra protection.
If you run a WordPress site, update now, and take that precaution first if you can.
@LukeRichar6071 Absolutely mate, I just feel for all the small business owners trying to keep afloat, employing people etc. .
I dont understand why the current Grubberment is trying to tank this once prosperous nation so hard, it's depressing 🤯😢
