VA homelessness funding: update local referrals. On September 16, VA announced $34.1 million for 20 Tennessee organizations serving veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in fiscal year 2027. The awards cover housing prevention and rapid rehousing through SSVF, as well as transitional housing and support through Grant and Per Diem.

It will be interesting to see how impactful this is and how quickly the funds will get into the hands of TN veterans.
