Can't really understand all the blisters - the boots are not new and you have done quite a bit of walking in preparation.

The rain has stopped - for now anyway! Let's hope the sun comes out today.

[Rockvale Hotel @RockvaleHotel]

What a lot of rain!! Luckily it hasn't put the customers off and we are fully booked tonight.

[Rockvale Hotel @RockvaleHotel]

After a night with heavy showers and a lot of wind, the scarecrows are still standing. The hens have reduced productivity now we are busy!

[Rockvale Hotel @RockvaleHotel]

Our Royal scarecrows are now in position!

A pause in the rain - how long will it last? Collected our Jubilee mugs today - a lovely memento of a wonderful weekend.

Rooms are now filling up at Rockvale for July/August - better book early to be sure of your holiday!

I know Lynton & Lynmouth is known as "Little Switzerland" but I've just seen someone playing an alpenhorn at the top of Hollerday Hill!!

[Rockvale Hotel @RockvaleHotel]

After the scare of a visiting fox cub last week, our girlies are being kept in for a while. It is raining quite a lot so they don't mind.

[Rockvale Hotel @RockvaleHotel]

The heavy rain everyone else has had seems to have kept away, just a shower or two. The girlies stay under the bushes when it is like this.

The Torch has been and is now on it's way eleswhere. An amazing turnout.

[Rockvale Hotel @RockvaleHotel]

Almost every property on the houses side of Lee Road, Lynton has flags and bunting for the Torch - except the Vicarage and the Presbytery!

[Rockvale Hotel @RockvaleHotel]

The girlies must have enjoyed their trip out of the pen yesterday as there were 10 eggs (plus one broken one in the nest box).

Sea calm as a mill pond this morning. Fox spotted on North Walk - s/he had better keep well away from our girlies.
