We are sad to announce the passing of a true Penn Hills legend,
Frank Fischetti.
A graduate of Penn Hills Senior High School, Frank earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Edinboro University and later completed his principal certification through Point Park University. He dedicated 38 years to the Penn Hills School District, first, as a high school English teacher, and later, as Assistant Ninth Grade Principal. He also served as head coach of the freshman football team and girls’ track coach at Linton Middle School. Frank loved teaching, and throughout the decades, his students returned that love many times over. Outside of education, Frank was a lifelong musician who played in many bands over the years. Frank’s love of music lasted his entire life, and no band held a more special place in his heart than The Beatles. He found joy in music, laughter, and time spent with those he loved. Above all else, Frank cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Our condolences go out to his brother John, a former Indians coach, Frank’s wife Kimberly and their daughters.
It is truly a sad day to be an Indian.

"I just wish we can get the analytics out the way... Why are we creating these stats? I think that's the problem with baseball right now." -Manny Machado

I’m so Grateful to have had the opportunity to lead a group of young men where I was raised. I want to thank my fellow coaches who were extremely loyal to the cause. When we came in, we had very, very little. Now, because of the support from our alumni, our players and future players have what is needed to get better. Uniforms and gear to feel and look like a baseball team..& most Important, belief that they can get better if they work hard and show up everyday. Even those days that were hard to show up, WE DID!
I’m most proud of how we packed over 2000 vehicles full of food at a local church these past two years. Having a relationship with the church was very special and I hope it continues. I also hope that the community and school will embrace BASEBALL, the greatest sport ever created. With that said I must move on. My work is done and i look forward to the next challenge. Forever a Penn Hills INDIAN.👊🏼⚾️
The Penn Hills Indians 34 game losing streak is done. A 10-0 win and a no hitter by Dontae Giddens. I’m extremely proud of my boys tonight! It’s been a long hard road but I’m glad it’s been hard. I like hard. Nothing good in life is worth it if it’s easy. ANYONE CAN DO EASY. I’m just grateful that I can represent that uniform because no one loves it more than this coaching staff. 6 more games to represent these colors the only way we know how.. with passion and a relentless approach to winning, the way it’s suppose to be. Keep showing up!
Congratulations to Chris Williams and Harold Boyce for being named MEC Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively!
Williams tallied six hits with two grand slams and 13 RBIs on Sunday, and Boyce struck out seven on Friday in his complete-game shutout!
