Maria Rodriguez-Carter, Lead Librarian at Maria Moreno STEAM Academy, represented Dallas ISD Library Media Services at the Cross Timbers Collaborative Conference, where she presented the 2026–2027 Luminarias Reading List.

Maria leads the Luminarias Committee, which selects 20 outstanding bilingual English/Spanish or Spanish-language books for PK–2 students. The list helps Dallas ISD librarians and teachers promote reading for enjoyment while supporting bilingual learners.
