BREAKING: Chevron, $CVX, is finalizing a deal that will "significantly expand" its operations in Venezuela as part of a push by President Trump to begin pumping Venezuelan oil, per Bloomberg.
Details include:
1. Chevron is adding 2 giant oil fields in the Orinoco Belt to its operations
2. The company has negotiated operating rights to fields that hold "billions of barrels" of oil in Venezuela
3. The deal is expected to be the largest of several agreements announced in the coming days as Trump encourages more US investment in Venezuela’s oil industry
4. The deal is separate from negotiations for the US government to take a direct stake in oil fields
The US is set for a major push into Venezuelan oil.

BREAKING: Chevron, $CVX, Haliburton, $HAL, and other major US oil companies are nearing deals to invest “billions of dollars” in Venezuela’s oil fields, per WSJ.
This comes amid reports that the US is negotiating a deal to take a large stake in Venezuelan oil fields.
The world's major central banks have finally unwound most of their pandemic-era balance sheet growth:
The Federal Reserve’s total assets as a % of US GDP are down to 21%, the lowest percentage since the 2020 pandemic.
By comparison, the peak was recorded in 2021 at ~37%.
At the same time, European Central Bank assets as a % of Eurozone GDP fell below 40% for the first time since Q1 2020, from the ~65% peak in 2022.
Total assets on the Bank of Japan’s balance sheet as a % of Japanese GDP are down to ~103%, their lowest since 2020, from the ~130% high in 2021.
The Bank of England’s assets are down to ~21% of UK GDP, the lowest since 2016, from the ~40% peak in 2021.
The pandemic-era central bank stimulus is largely gone.
@JBPritzker Who the fuck is Natalie? Fucking build a football stadium in Chicago for goodness sakes. Chicago bears should be your highest priority and only focus.
@Grilling_Pete@pxg ESPN has an old ad of a football player tackling a woman. There was no backlash. People are over sensitive. It was just a cringy and bad add. Clearly they asked the woman in the ad if she was okay with it before filming it. Or can woman not make their own choices?
