I recently enjoyed a few days break in the Yorkshire Wolds, an area of chalk downland stretching up to Flamborough Head. There were also chalk streams which are the most northerly in the UK!
It was good to see so many people enjoying the fine weather in Lowndes Park this morning. Looking forward to many shops in the Town Centre reopening this week but please remember to keep to social distancing.
Very pleased and honoured to be elected Mayor at the annual meeting of the Town Council yesterday. I will do my best to serve the town in these difficult times.
I very much enjoyed the Chesham Rotary Concert at the Elgiva on Saturday. To have so much musical and dancing talent in the local area is amazing. I am looking forward to the concert next year.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the Mayor’s Christmas Day lunch to make yesterday a special day for so many people who would otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day.

Enjoyed the hospitality at All Spring Media yesterday. Saw some entertaining films produced by their apprentices. It is good to know Chesham is such a centre of excellence for the media industry.
Yesterday, the Friends of Chesham Cemetery once again organised a fascinating exhibition in the hearse house to commemorate Chesham residents who served in the First World War. Tune in to Chiltern Voice for an excellent interview with Ken Austin.
Last weekend represented Chesham Town Council at a cultural weekend in Friedrichsdorf. Delivered a message from the Mayor of Chesham reaffirming our twinning links. Very well received by all those present from Friedrichsdorf and Houilles.
Throughly enjoyed the showing of the Greatest Showman at the Bury last night. Well done to @CheshamMayor for the initiative which has raised so much money for Impress the Chess.
The Chesham Society deserves a huge congratulations for organising a very sucessful heritage open day yesterday. The exhibition organised by the Friends of Chesham Cemetery in the Hearse House on medical personel buried there, generated much interest throughout the day.
