I remember watching this and recalling how sad it was that ABC’s Saturday bowling was ending. I also remember what followed this program: The X Games. I felt that moment was a turning point in television sports.
🎳📺 On the final ABC PBA broadcast in 1997, the tour paid tribute to broadcasting legend Chris Schenkel with a heartfelt video celebrating his remarkable career. The tribute left Schenkel emotional—and there wasn't a dry eye in the bowling center.
