Had my annual diabetes review yesterday. I am in remission and they will be weaning me off metformin and Mounjaro. The nurse told me she’s only ever been able to do this will 2 or 3 patients before as most people are non-compliant 😱

@BasilTheGreat I have grown up around Sikhs my whole life - I have great love and respect for them. I think a compromise is possible but it needs encouragement from community leaders. Knives don’t belong on our streets - it’s not safe for anyone.

@BasilTheGreat I note that some Sikhs wear a little badge with the Kirpan on as a compromise - saving the real thing for vaisakhi parades etc. Seems like a sensible way to get weapons off the streets - weapons that can be turned against those who carry them too.
