Congrats to our 18 newest conservation officers, who graduated today from the CO Academy. Now, they'll head to field training with experienced COs till early December. We welcome them to the Enforcement Division, and are sure they will carry on our proud, 137-year tradition.
Minnesota conservation officers work to ensure future generations have the same opportunities we have today. Through Sept. 3, we’re looking for CO candidates with law enforcement experience to take part in a CO Academy in the spring of 2025.

Today’s the day! The application period for our CO Prep program, which requires at least a two-year degree but not a law enforcement background, closes at the end of the day. If you’re an honest, hard-working self-starter, we’d love to hear from you!

Community engagement is a huge part of COs' jobs. Presentations like this, which COs Aimee Hand and Derek Peterlin put on at a middle school, teach kids about conservation, the roles COs play in the community, and provide youngsters a positive first impression of law enforcement.
We're hiring! And we'd love to see you at our open house from 5 to 7 tonight at DNR Central Office -- 500 Lafayette Road in St. Paul. Thanks to @WCCO for helping us spread the word!

Big changes are coming for all ice anglers this winter! A new law is in effect related to storing garbage and other waste (in all its forms) left on the ice. 🧵
We’re looking for interns! Each year, we hire about four interns throughout the state. Several of our current COs interned with us, and it’s a great way to see exactly what the job entails. Deadline to apply is Dec. 15.

CO Stephen Westby is investigating who’s responsible for shooting this timber wolf and dumping more than a dozen ducks on the side of the road.
The wolf was killed near Buckman. The ducks - some of which were fully intact, others partially cleaned - were dumped by Little Falls.
The weather may not have been great, but the Girls in Aviation Day event Saturday at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie was the perfect opportunity for DNR staffers to talk with future aviators!
