Kiarra Jones, 30, plead guilty to 12 criminal charges in Arapahoe County after abusing three nonverbal autistic children while working as a bus aide for Littleton Public Schools.

The incidents took place on a special-education bus transporting students with significant developmental disabilities to the Joshua School, where the children relied entirely on adult care.

School officials and police reviewed surveillance video capturing the abuse, which resulted in her dismissal and subsequent prosecution in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District Court.
