A man visiting a circus noticed that the huge elephants were held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains. No cages. Just a thin rope.
Curious, he asked the trainer why the elephants didn’t just pull free.
The trainer explained:
“When they were very young, we used the same size rope. At that age they tried to break free but couldn’t. They learned that the rope was stronger than they were. They never tried again.”
The elephants grew into giants. The rope stayed the same. But they never tested it.
Sometimes the only thing holding you back is a belief you formed when you were smaller than you are now.
