#F1#MonacoGP 🇲🇨 WEATHER UPDATE - Despite some rain tonight, the rest of the weekend should be dry. One or two showers may occur in the mountains (Fri-Sat), but none are expected in Monaco. Sun with some (high) clouds. Light winds. 23-24ºC.
#F1#MonacoGP 🇲🇨 The official weather forecast from the FIA suggests a 30% risk of rain on Friday, and 20% on Saturday and Sunday, with showers developing along the mountains and a low risk of reaching the circuit.
A round of rain is hitting Monaco this afternoon. Another round is possible on Thursday night, and then a dry weekend is looking more likely. #MonacoGP 🇲🇨

Oxford, the longest running continuous weather station in UK history, with temperature observations stretching back to 1815, has preliminarily broken its maximum temperature record for May yesterday by OVER 3ºC with a temperature of 33.7ºC. Unprecedented in its 211-year history.
Today is now the hottest day in May on record with Heathrow and Kew Gardens provisionally reaching 35.0°C
Until yesterday the highest temperature in May was 32.8°C, but we've now exceeded that record on consecutive days by a full two degrees Celsius 🌡️
@Hariclea Truly shocking, and I understand the fear, given that summer hasn't even arrived yet. Unfortunately, such extreme events are becoming more common worldwide.
The May record was broken by more than FOUR DEGREES CELSIUS over the previous one, at Kew Gardens station (UK), based on 145 years of data.
Absolutely insane and bizarre.
34.8ºC at Kew Gardens breaks its May AND June records by OVER 4ºC for its May record set in 1922 and by 0.2ºC for its June record set in 1976. Unprecedented heat for the UK in late May, and likely to be bettered tomorrow. A rounded 35ºC temperature should not happen in May.
