Another interest to me is how quick people are to believe the player side of DQ stories. Sometimes those stories are true, but many likely aren’t.

Cheaters, especially “pro” players who cheat, have the inherent belief that they deserve to win against “worse” players, and thus cheating is their avenue to ensuring they do.

It happens so often because they see success one time and they now believe they’re entitled to winning

My entire timeline is posts about the Riftbound cheating scandal, and it’s fascinating seeing the amount of people immediately saying “Excited for your redemption!”

Cheating is a mentality that doesn’t go away quickly, if at all. It’s a long-term disease. Ban all cheaters

Now I understand why competitive Pokémon players are so chill. You travel to 10 events just to qualify for worlds, get rock slide flinched twice in a row and lose. They have all accepted that things are outside of their control. They are just here for a good time
