Reproductive biology of Piper species (Piperaceae): a review to link the past to the future, by Adriano Valentin-Silva
https://t.co/AFRq6v6e99
I review different aspects related to reproductive biology of Piper species, comparing results between Neotropical and Paleotropical regions. Also, I discuss remaining gaps and further studies required to obtain basic information on the reproductive biology of these plants.
Myrtaceae family: an update on plant-derived bioactive compounds against bacteria that affect the respiratory system, by Marcelle Oliveira Garcia, Suzane Olachea Allend, Kamila Furtado da Cunha & Daiane Drawanz Hartwig

Distinct lichen community in riparian forests along an anthropogenic disturbance gradient in Southern Brazil, by Márcia Isabel Käffer, Renan Kauê Port & Jairo Lizandro Schmitt
https://t.co/iJDUWPr92x
Riparian forest sustains an expressive richness and diversity of species and anthropogenic impacts in certain sites have caused changes in the structure of communities. This study aimed to analyze the composition and structural parameters of lichen community in riparian forests.
Simultaneous movement of style and stamen set during anthesis in Etlingera elatior (Zingiberaceae), by Jéssica Tamara Laet Abreu, Maria Helena Menezes Cordeiro, Leidiane Santana das Neves, Ana Paula de Souza Caetano & Celice Alexandre Silva
https://t.co/es43xWT3Ot
This study aims to elucidate the floral morphology of E. elatior and understand the behavior of the set of stamen and style during floral anthesis, seeking to identify the mechanisms that promote xenogamy in the species.

Colonization of intraradical structures of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi by dark septate endophytic fungi, by Nagarajan Bharathy & Thangavelu Muthukumar
https://t.co/TZs00fPFgZ
While examining AM colonization in roots of Cuminum cyminum and Sambucus nigra, we found that AM fungal hyphal coils, arbusculate coils, vesicles, and intraradical spores are colonized by dark septate endophytic (DSE) fungi which were co-occurring with AM fungi.
