@kevinblake2011 @AtTheRaces good analysis rightly flags some questions. I do find it hard to crab a 3m chaser who has gone 8 runs unbeaten at P2P NHF & NH. I agree on the depth point but he can only beat what he races. I think 6/4 AP is skinny. But he’s odds on when Fiddler, Thyme, Dufresne commit elsewhere

@kevinblake2011 I remember the same debates 15 years ago when it went 3 to 4 days. Similar 80:20 sentiment against, and it was diluted. Now many can’t remember 3 days - but it was better. 5 seems ludicrous. Limited quality horses and three festivals in quick succession to fill. Quality please!

Given the way Lost picked up the bridle on the Ain run in, and dug in after the 2nd last at Hay, I think we have a ‘stayer blessed with speed’ not a ‘fast horse that can stay’. It’s a subtle difference but he might improve again in the GC

Yeah bookies pretty savvy. Years of experience I guess. Altior isn’t in from a realistic view. So Evens it is. About right I would say. BDM as likely to lose as win 50/50

@nickluck @NewburyRacing The KG and GC are main targets for Lostintranslation. The CP Int was ideal start. Therefore 4th run is late Nov. Betfair v Ladbroke. If you think you will win the Betfair, you might as well kickstart the £1m bonus. Also get a crack at a 170 horse off levels as practice before KG.
