As part of National Police Week, our final “Police Week Profile” feature is Officer Cameron Stewart. Stewart joined the Edina Police Department as a cadet in 2024 and was promoted to officer in 2025. Before coming to Edina, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later worked as a security officer while completing his Law Enforcement degree at Hennepin Technical College.
Stewart shared that one of the things he enjoys most about policing is that every day is different and brings new opportunities to help people and connect with the community. “I think it’s important for people to see officers as humans with families, thoughts and feelings,” he said. “We have a strong desire to serve others and help people when they need it most.”
Stewart said he always knew he wanted to become a police officer and was immediately drawn to Edina after learning more about the department while attending school in Minnesota. His favorite place in Edina is Arneson Acres because he visited this park with his wife before they were engaged.
Thank you to Officer Cameron Stewart, and all other Edina officers, for their service to our community! #PoliceWeek2026

With square cut & thin = extra points and your preference for MN OGs, you really need to add Carbone’s to the list (West St. Paul location was our childhood post-sports spot) #NationalPizzaDay
