THE HUMAN COST WAS TOO HIGH

Springfield, Ohio — a town of roughly 60,000 — absorbed over 12,000 Haitians in a short period through TPS and parole programs.

Housing vanished for American families. Rents spiked. Multiple families crammed into units.

Schools were overwhelmed — the number of students needing English language support quadrupled. Translators and extra resources drained budgets.

Hospitals and emergency services hit capacity. The fire department had its busiest year on record.

The deadliest failure showed up on the roads.

In August 2023, on the first day of school, a Haitian driver crossed the centerline and slammed into a school bus. Eleven-year-old Aiden Clark was killed. More than 20 other children were injured. The driver had only a foreign license and was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter and vehicular homicide, sentenced to 9–13.5 years in prison.

Residents reported a sharp spike in serious accidents. The city launched special Creole-language driver training because of the pattern. Ohio’s governor sent in state highway patrol to help enforce traffic laws.

Another local grandmother was struck and killed while collecting her trash cans.

Cultures carry their own realities — different norms on driving, family living, and daily life collided hard with a small American town unprepared for the scale.

Taxpayers footed the bill for strained services while watching safety and quality of life decline in their own town.

This wasn’t random. It was the predictable result of rapidly importing large numbers from one of the world’s most unstable, poorest nations without adequate preparation or integration.

Now the Supreme Court has ruled. Temporary protected status for Haitians is ending.

Those whose legal permission has expired belong back in Haiti.

America’s small towns and American children are not sacrifice zones for failed foreign policies.

Deport every single one who no longer has the legal right to stay.

This is basic sovereignty and common sense.
